ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
Creation of a well structured, high performance, professional martial arts association.
Build a strong foundation of an effective and practical art form.
Emphasis on the development of strong leaders and respected martial artist.
To encourage and enforce a uniform execution of all techniques as taught by all Wu-Yin Yan-Jing® Black Belt instructors.
To develop Instructor Certification in addition to Black Belt ranking for organizational recognition of instructors of Wu-Yin Yan-Jing®.
To develop a set standard and guidelines for uniform/gi, patches, certificates, etc.
To provide regular meetings and seminars for organization members.
To assist member schools and instructors with instruction, testing, and financial support as needed.
To assist member schools and instructors with demonstrations, tournaments, and public education.
To develop, complete, and implement new techniques and requirements for the advanced degrees of Black Belt in Wu-Yin Yan-Jing®.
To provided a centralized data base of support materials for organization members and interested public, to include history, lineage, issuance of Black Belt certificates, certified instructor verification, instructor manuals, and other administrative duties as needed.
To encourage a spirit of Peace, Brotherhood and Tranquility amongst organization members, fellow martial artist, and those around us.
ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP
Black Belt membership shall be open to all who have been promoted as a Black Belt in
Wu-Yin Yan-Jing®.
Student membership will be available to lower ranking (Orange – Brown) students of Black Belt members.
Social membership shall be open to martial artist of other styles and non-martial artists who are interested in supporting the ideals and vision of the American Wu-Yin Yan-Jing® Federation (AWYF).
All members shall pay annual membership dues.
All members shall obey the rules and regulations of the AWYF and promptly pay any dues, fines imposed and/or any disciplinary actions as needed to be enforced (i.e. probationary periods, suspension, revocation, etc.).
ARTICLE IV – DUES
Initial application/registration fee of $195.00 for Black Belt Members will defray the cost of instructor manuals, videos, teaching aids, design and production of AWYF patches and certificates, website development and hosting, administrative costs, etc.
Black Belt members shall pay an annual dues of $50.00 for subsequent years after the Initial application/registration.
Student members shall pay an annual dues of $20.00
Social members shall pay an annual dues of $30.00
Annual dues and membership renewal shall be due the anniversary of initial registration.
Note: The AWYF will not determine student tuition fees that must be charged by instructors. Instructors may charge a tuition fee for instruction at a level that they feel the market and demographics of their area can support.
